Highline High School’s Pirates came up just short Friday night, Sept. 11, falling 17-13 to the Inglemoor Vikings in a home conference football game in Burien.
The Pirates, playing at home at Highline Memorial Stadium, fell to 0-2 on the season. Inglemoor improved to 2-0 with the road win.
Highline stayed within striking distance throughout the game, but ultimately fell short by 4 points.
Scoring Recap

- Inglemoor led 10-7 after the 1st quarter
- Neither team scored in the 2nd.
- Both offenses broke through again in the 3rd quarter, and the Pirates briefly held a 13-10 lead.
- Inglemoor added 7 points and held on through the 4th quarter to seal the win.
The four-point loss was Highline’s second defeat to open the season. As we previously reported, the Pirates lost the season opener 25-15 to Mount Rainier on Sept. 4.
