Kennedy Catholic won its third straight varsity football game Saturday, Sept. 26, beating visiting Kentwood 34-7 in a league matchup to improve to 3-1.
The Burien Lancers held an opponent to 10 points or fewer for the third consecutive game. Kentwood fell to 1-3.
The Lancers have outscored opponents 109-17 during this winning streak, following a 33-0 road victory Sept. 10 and a 42-10 home win Sept. 19. Saturday’s victory gave the Lancers their second consecutive home win.
The victory kept Kennedy Catholic tied with Tahoma atop the 4A North Puget Sound League standings, with both teams unbeaten through two league games.
Next up is a 4A North Puget Sound matchup against Auburn at Noon on Saturday, Oct. 3. Auburn enters that game with two wins and two losses after falling to Tahoma 55-27 in their latest league game.
