Resident Elston Hill took some great photos Thursday afternoon (Oct. 20) of fishing boats and Orcas from his Burien home. “We had fishing boats this morning and this afternoon,” Elston said. “Started out at Vashon Island. Then came across near Three Tree Point. The same fish were an attraction for the Orcas that arrived in large numbers around 2 p.m. Unfortunately, they mostly stayed under fishing and were hard to see. Finally, we ended with a beautiful day as reflected in the view north to Fauntleroy and the lighthouse at Alkai Beach.” Click images to see larger versions/slideshow: afishing-boats_20161020_0581 afishing-boat_0312 afishing-boats_0416 afishing-boats_0437]]>

  1. Really wish you would put a 2017 calendar together!! I would absolutely buy not just 1, but several for friends and family! Your pic of Alki and Fauntleroy is terrific. It’s taken from a vantage that many of us rarely see. Thanks as always for sharing!
