Burien Police Officers and a King County Fire District No. 2 crew responded to the Burien City Hall/Library at 4:13 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, for a female experiencing a medical emergency.

Police said that the female was conscious and alert upon the arrival of Burien/Normandy Park firefighters.

The victim – in her late 50s – was taken to a local area hospital for additional treatment.

According to the 911 feed dispatch, the victim suffered from an “ALS Overdose” (ALS = “Advanced Life Support,” provided when a patient is in more critical condition and a paramedic is required to assist in the treatment of the patient before and/or during transport to the emergency facility.).

Police did not release any further information.
