City of Burien staff collects 1,908 food items for local Food Banks

The City of Burien this week announced that its staff recently completed its 3rd annual Food Drive Challenge: A total of 1,908 food items were donated, and were divided evenly between the White Center Food Bank, serving Burien from the northern city limit to 140th Street, and the Highline Food Bank, serving Burien from 140th Street to the southern city limit. “This year’s challenge saw an 18.5% increase in giving by staff over last year’s challenge!” the city said.]]>
