Your Highline High School Pirates showed no mercy to the Lindbergh Eagles varsity football team at Friday night’s (Oct. 13, 2023) away conference game at Renton Memorial Stadium, coming away with a resounding 49-7 victory.

Things started off close in the first quarter with a slim 14-7 Highline lead before the Pirates made the Eagles walk the plank the rest of the game.

  • Jamaine Matthews Jr. had a 70-yard rushing TD to make the score 20-7 in the 2nd quarter.
  • QB Ronan Rasmussen threw a 50-yard pass to #7 Marquawn McCraney for a TD in the 3rd to make the score 41-7.
  • #2 Jamaine Matthews Jr. had a 15-yard rushing TD to make it 48-7 in the 4th.

The Pirates are now 6-1 overall and 4-0 in 2A KingCo football standings, and are averaging almost 52 points per game this season.

They are tied for first in their divison with Renton.

Their next game will be a home conference game starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 against Foster (1-6) at Highline Memorial Stadium.
